TARPON FISHING IN BOCAS DEL TORO
Your Tarpon Fishing Guide in Bocas del Toro
Tarpon Fishing is our main attraction here in Bocas del Toro. They are known for their spectacular jumps and strong fight. From the moment your live bait gets taken by the tarpon it’s all exitement. At the first run they take about 100 m of line from the reel and then jump. They are usually between 50 and 160 pound over here. That will take you between half an hour and an hour to reel in! So be ready for a work out!

Tarpon Fishing Season in Bocas del Toro
The season for Tarpon fishing in Bocas del Toro goes from July through April, when, weather depending, we will be fishing inshore behind the islands or at the mouth of the river.
The best time to fish inshore is from first light (around 6 am) until 11 am.
During the months of May-July, the Tarpon disappear from the waters around Bocas del Toro to spawn further up the rivers around the archipelago.
